As one of five finalists, you will get a five-day stay* in City of Moreton Bay to live, work and play before your final pitch for The Ultimate HQ at a gala event with business leaders from across the city. Think stand-up paddle boarding before breakfast, smoothies over Moreton Bay, workshops with UniSC staff and students, business introductions, mini-MBAs, site visits to world-class companies and much more. The winner at the end of the week can call The Ultimate HQ home and claim the $1 million prize on offer.

The Ultimate HQ space is located on the ground floor of Building A2 at UniSC Moreton Bay Campus which is adjacent to the Petrie train station. The campus is approximately 30km north of Brisbane and is the anchor tenant for an exciting new innovation precinct, Moreton Bay Central, in the City of Moreton Bay.
Entries close 14 November. We will advise the five finalists (privately) by early December 2025, although we will only announce the finalists publicly on 4 February 2026. The winner will be announced at a gala event on 27 February 2026 as part of the Innovation Safari.
You will be asked to enter into a Master Collaboration Agreement with UniSC that will help to guide any collaboration that you might undertake together – whether student placements, research projects or other engagements. There will also be a standard lease to give you all the usual rights and responsibilities of a tenant. Copies of both these documents are available in the information pack.
If you are our lucky winner, you will need to cover the costs of living and working in City of Moreton Bay. That includes any moving, accommodation, school or associated costs. Your staff are your responsibility. There will be building outgoings also which will vary according to the type of uses the winner has planned. These will be discussed with you during the innovation safari (visit) in February 2026.
As soon as you fit it out! The space is currently empty and is ready for your imagination to fill it. City of Moreton Bay will contribute $250,000 towards the fit-out of the space and help you source a local fit out specialist, but how and what you do, is entirely up to you. So, once it is fitted out the way you want it, you can move on in!

It’s easier to say what doesn’t happen. You will get to experience the best the city has to offer over five full-on days as you live, work and play like a local. We will be hosting business events, industry workshops, networking, and providing opportunities to plug into our ecosystem.
Day one may start with a stand-up paddleboard at Redcliffe, followed by a breakfast meeting with local innovators, a mid-morning workshop at UniSC at Moreton Bay campus with students and faculty, followed by a factory site visit to an advanced manufacturer in Brendale.
The afternoon will see you participate in a digital marketing and finance masterclass, before a gourmet dinner with business leaders and some stargazing in beautiful Samford.
That’s just day one, imagine what the other four days will have in store for you! Plus the gala event at the end of the week, where you will deliver your final pitch, and our Ultimate HQ winner will be crowned.
We have you covered. You will be staying at the amazing Oaks Mon Komo in Redcliffe, overlooking the crystal-clear waters of Moreton Bay and the islands of Moreton and Stradbroke. We will cover your accommodation costs and meal costs during the five-day innovation safari.
We will pay for one economy domestic flight per finalist (or contribute equivalent value if you are from overseas) from the east coast of Australia to Brisbane airport, to join us for the weeklong safari.
You can absolutely bring your family. However, their costs will be at your own expense.
